The club hit the
road mountain, Llanllwni Mountain in fact at locator IO72wa, and set up a 2m station to take part in the Practical Wireless VHF competition on Sunday the 11th of June 2017.
All up 25 contacts were made in 13 different squares.
The first contacts made were from Kent and the Isle of Man.
A huge thank you to all who worked us and an even bigger thank you to all the club members who braved the wind and rain to attend to make the event a success.

Two rally events at Laugharne, PW Competition on top of the mountain, great progress with the repeaters as well as getting more amateurs trained and licensed.

The second meeting of December will be a construction competition.
The idea is to demonstrate your soldering and assembly skills.
Also the ability to use second hand components in an innovative way.
Kits are permitted even Pixies.
Prize for the entry considered most innovative..interesting.
Completed projects only please.
Our annual Christmas bash is at the Afonduad Inn on Tuesday the 6th of December.
